PeeWee Chihuahua Normal, IL

Greetings from PeeWee! I am a five year old male Chihuahua and weigh 10.3 pounds. I am a sweet boy and am looking for my forever family. I am slow to warm up, but a smuggler after I get to know you! I know English and Spanish. I will likely do best in a home with a female, as I seem to be fearful of males. I will eventually bond with a male, but it will take time. I seem to bond with females quickly. I am the entire package - sweet, snuggler, and bilingual - won't you adopt me and take me to my forever family?.

PeeWee has been a joy to have in our home. The first day we brought him home, he was nervous of everything and everyone, but after a day of feeling settled, he adapted to the new routines and I haven't seen any timid or shy behavior from him since. He comes to our office most days, and divides his time between napping, looking out the window, and greeting anyone that comes into our office. On the days that he isn't in the office, he stays in a crate at home and does well. We have not had him around any children or cats yet, but I can't imagine this guy not adapting well if introduced properly. He is timid around men at first, but if men are patient and gentle with him, he will warm up and eventually approaches them on his own for pets and snuggles. If we didn't already have a full house, we would love to adopt him ourselves! He is so well behaved that he puts our dogs to shame! He seems to know exactly what other dogs need when being introduced, as all of the dogs he's been introduced to like him. PeeWee is one of the most well behaved dogs I have had the pleasure of knowing.

My minimum adoption donation is $145 plus a $10 fee for rabies registration with McLean County Animal Control(McLean County residents).

PeeWee has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm and fecal checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
