Gunner Weimaraner West Olive, MI

Hi, my name is Gunner and I am a big 100lb, 5-year-old Weim. I am an energetic boy who loves to go on runs! I used to have to be pulled along, but once I realized how fun it was, now I bound ahead blazing the trail! I am quite protective of my family. I will always bark to alert them that someone is outside, and give a warning to the stranger until my human lets me know it is okay. I am just as protective on walks, but have gone through obedience training and am very responsive on and off leash. I would do best as an only dog because I do not like to share my bones, toys or food, but I am fine living with cats. I responded quick to my training and have learned to share, but I will need a strong leader who is experienced with Weims and resource guarding to help me learn in my forever home. I would also be best with adults only or teenaged kids. I can roam free during the day, but be sure not to leave any shoes or pillows out because they are my favorite chew toys! I am so happy to see my foster mom when she gets home I even do a little dance for her, and absolutely love cuddling in bed under the blankets with her at night! So if you are looking for an active, protective, yet loving and fiercely loyal best friend, I am your man!
