Meet Carrie

Meet CARRIE :: 3-4 year old spayed female long haired chihuahua mix

Meet this cute little long haired Chihuahua mix name Carrie. Carrie is approximately 3 to 4 years old, spayed, up to date on vaccinations and a bit shy with people at first, and can be assertive with other dogs, but not aggressive. When her owner passed away last year, we took her in to our adoption program. She was very fearful at first, but as time went on, she learned to trust again. A lot of love and attention will win her over but she is initially very hand shy so expect to get a few nips or bites while initiating touch until she trusts you fully, and then she'll be devoted to you forever. She will happily jump in anyone's lap upon first meeting and give kisses and licks but does need time to trust anyone petting her. Carrie has occasional seizures, but does not require medication to control them, as they are few and far between. Carrie loves men the most and loves to play with toys.

Carrie requires a fenced yard and would do best as the only dominant female in the home. A home without small children is also recommended.

To complete our easy online adoption application, please visit our website at PeppermintPigAnimalRescue.org. All adoption information and applications can be found under the ADOPTION CENTER tab.

Once your application is submitted, you will be redirected to a confirmation page on our website. This is your confirmation that we received your application. Please read the page thoroughly so you will know what to expect next in our adoption process.

Adoption events are held every Saturday in our thrift store from 1:00 to 4:00pm. Please complete your adoption application in advance so our volunteers have time to screen and contact potential adopters.

All applications are reviewed in the order they are received and qualifications are based on best fit for each individual pet. A volunteer will contact you if you are selected for a meet with adoptable pet. Final approval is always made in person.
