Arrival story: Sad but true, this pup was discovered outside of a party store in a travel crate. Luckily we had a foster home available!

Approximate Age / Weight: 12 lbs. / 4 months old as of 1-20-2016

Personality: Hiccup is a lively pup and in no way intends to sit on the sidelines of life and watch it go by. His best friend is his foster brother, Comet, who he loves to play tug with and romp through the yard. Hiccup loves to play fetch and brings his toy back to you pretty regularly. Hiccup is a friendly, playful kind of dog and he’s a real snuggler when he runs out of steam. He’ll steal a place in your heart while he sneaks a spot on your lap for a nap. Hiccup sleeps the night in his crate and has almost mastered potty-training.

Watch out, though, Hiccup likes to jump in the shower almost every day at his foster home. What a character! Hiccup is good at the vet’s office and on car rides.

Forever home: Nothing would make Hiccup happier than to have his very own active family that will keep his smart mind as well as his little body busy. We think he would love activities like agility along with another doggie playmate or to go to doggie daycare.

Contact: Please contact wtdr2008@yahoo.com if you’re interested in adopting pup Hiccup.

Pre-Adoption Application: To be considered for a dog, it is best to submit a pre-adoption application. The Pre-Adoption Application can be downloaded from our website - http://www.waggintailsdogrescue.org/adoptionprocess.html. Just complete the application and email it back to wtdr2008@yahoo.com
Waggin' Tails Adoption Information: Waggin' Tails Dog Rescue has a standard adoption fee of $225 for adult dogs. Different adoption fees apply for older dogs, small breeds and puppies - $125 for senior dogs, $275 for small breed dogs and $250 for puppies, plus a $50 deposit which is returned upon proof of spay/neuter at six months of age. Our adoption process includes an application, vet reference checks, and a home visit.
We do not have a facility; all of our dogs are fostered in private homes. To view our dogs, please check www.waggintailsdogrescue.org for the dates of our next adoption events. To meet a dog in person, please see our event calendar for the latest information. Arrangements can be made to meet our rescue dogs outside of Saturday adoption events after an approved application is submitted (the application does not imply an obligation by the applicant or by the rescue group).
Please be kind to our volunteers who have made rescue a second job that they do in their spare time after coming home from full-time jobs. E-mail inquiries will be answered much more quickly than phone inquiries; our phone number is a voice mailbox only.
Thank you for your support of rescue and your interest in a rescue dog!
