Meet Shelby
Sweet, pretty, green-eyed tortie Shelby needs a new home. There was a change in her family's living situation and she had been relegated to the basement because of an allergy issue. Shelby is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and front declawed. She has lived with and does fine with other cats. All of our cat caregiver volunteers love her and a recent visit by a small, friendly dog didn't faze her in the least.
After adapting well to her new environment, it was discovered that Shelby is suffering from a neurological condition primarily diagnosed as either a brain tumor or lesion. Shelby is on a twice-daily pill which has resulted in a complete abatement of her symptoms. And, happily she is a good girl for taking her pill. Shelby is looking for a home where she could receive her daily medication. The rescue group would consider a long-term foster to the right family and would continue to provide her veterinary care in a foster home. Shelby gets along well with all other cats and would do best in a quiet home.
Shelby is happy with the change from a basement to rescue care; she'd be infinitely happier in a forever home with people for her to love and be loved by.
If you can't offer Shelby a home a donation to help with the cost of her meds would be appreciated, just click on the green "Sponsor Me" box at the top of the page."
