Samantha is a special needs kitty as she is FIV or Feline AIDS Positive. FIV kitties can live full normal lives and at only about 4 years of age, she has a long life in front of her. FIV CAN ONLY BE SPREAD TO OTHER CATS and it involves blood contact. The most common way of spreading this virus is from biting. In other words, Samantha is looking for either a home where she would be the only cat, or she can be placed in a home with other FIV Positive cats.

Samantha is a large, long-haired orange kitty, who is very talkative and is the queen of our FIV room. Samantha struts around the room and tries to get a little bossy when it's time to clean her room. She is very affectionate and rather calm. Samantha loves being brushed and spending time with her best friend, Francis.

If you are looking for two cats, Samantha and Francis are wonderful choices with different, but complimentary personalities. They really enjoy each others company. Even if you are unable to adopt Samantha, she is always happy to have visitors come to see her. Samantha is just one of many, special needs cats that currently call ARC home.

Cat Adoption Fees: $60 for Cats, $85 for Dogs
All our pets are spayed, neutered, and up-to-date on all shots. Our dogs have been tested and are presently on Heartworm prevention. The Animal Refuge Center has these and many more pets waiting for a good home. Note: The Animal Refuge Center has a "No-Declaw" policy. Our cats are too old to be declawed without risk of serious behavioral problems.
