Cuda American Staffordshire Terrier Mix Eau Claire, WI

Hi There! My name is Cuda and I am a cuddly, fun loving American Staffordshire Terrier mix. I am a 2 year old neutered male that didn't start out in the best of homes, but life is getting better and better every day. I was surrendered to the shelter after my previous owner abandoned me with a wonderful human that tried to find another home for me but couldn't. Since I am a bit timid at first I am currently spending time in a foster home to build up my confidence, but setting up a time to meet me at the shelter is easy - just call them at (715) 839-4747 ext. 21. They are likely to tell you that I am their favorite because I know that everyone there loves me and understands that I am truly a wonderful dog with a tremendous amount of potential. Once I know you I love giving kisses and cuddling in bed with you or on the couch because no one has told me that I am not a lap dog. I am housebroken and I have a very nice sit (especially if you have a treat in your hand). I have a lot of energy and will need an active home that will make sure that I get plenty of exercise. I love to play and go for long walks, and I am really quite polite on leash, but I do need to learn not to jump up for attention. I don't always remember how big I am and can be a bit pushy, so I will need a home without small children. During quiet time I like to relax and enjoy my favorite rawhide, antler, or rope bone. I must have a home that will provide me with an indoor kennel as that is the only place I will sleep. I have spent most of my life in a kennel and so that has become my safe place where I know nothing bad will happen to me. I run at the sight of anything raised in fear that I am going to get hit, so I may have had an abusive past experience. Before you adopt me, please check with your landlord and renter's insurance company or your homeowner's insurance company to make sure that they do not discriminate against my breed.
