Arrival story: Found as a stray, a good Samaritan took him in but could not keep him.

Approximate Age / Weight: 6 months old and 28 lbs.

Personality: Memphis is an all-around good pup! He picked up the routine in his foster home quickly and lets you know when he needs to go outside for potty break. He is an energetic pup who loves to play fetch and wrestle with his canine pals, but after that, he will crawl up in your lap and curl up for some snuggle time. Memphis is super sweet that way.

Pup Memphis is working on his leash skills, but he’s mastered the crate and is almost completely housetrained. You just need to keep an eye on him for his signal. He hasn’t been tested with cats or kids yet. As a puppy, Memphis can still be a bit mouthy at times.

Our boy is good at the vet’s office, on car rides, and even at our crazy adoption events.

Forever home: Memphis would love to be a part of an active family, with or without another dog, who will teach him all the good things pups should know to become the well-behaved companion he is meant to be.

Contact: Please contact wtdr2008@yahoo.com for more info on pup Memphis!

Pre-Adoption Application: To be considered for a dog, it is best to submit a pre-adoption application. The Pre-Adoption Application can be downloaded from our website - http://www.waggintailsdogrescue.org/adoptionprocess.html. Just complete the application and email it back to wtdr2008@yahoo.com
Waggin' Tails Adoption Information: Waggin' Tails Dog Rescue has a standard adoption fee of $225 for adult dogs. Different adoption fees apply for older dogs, small breeds and puppies - $125 for senior dogs, $275 for small breed dogs and $250 for puppies, plus a $50 deposit which is returned upon proof of spay/neuter at six months of age. Our adoption process includes an application, vet reference checks, and a home visit.
We do not have a facility; all of our dogs are fostered in private homes. To view our dogs, please check www.waggintailsdogrescue.org for the dates of our next adoption events. To meet a dog in person, please see our event calendar for the latest information. Arrangements can be made to meet our rescue dogs outside of Saturday adoption events after an approved application is submitted (the application does not imply an obligation by the applicant or by the rescue group).
Please be kind to our volunteers who have made rescue a second job that they do in their spare time after coming home from full-time jobs. E-mail inquiries will be answered much more quickly than phone inquiries; our phone number is a voice mailbox only.
Thank you for your support of rescue and your interest in a rescue dog!
