Arrival story: Harley’s previous family didn’t have the time or means to care for him so he came to Waggin’ Tails to find a new home.

Approximate Age / Weight: 1-2 years old / 17 lbs.

Personality: We're not exactly sure of Harley's breed, but he is an adorable little guy with a zest for life! It may take a few minutes for him to warm up to new friends, but he does love, love, love other dogs and to be with people. Harley even enjoys hanging out with the kitties. He is a little more cautious around kids as they can be unpredictable in their movements. Harley’s little legs can walk for miles, so daily walks, playtime, and even doggy daycare would be ideal to keep his mind occupied and out of trouble.

Harley is good at the vet’s office, enjoys car rides, loves to be a lap dog, and is a quick learner, so he’d be up to the challenge of learning new tricks to entertain you.

Forever home: Harley would do best in a home with another dog pal or two to romp with and keep him company. He needs an active family, and he would prefer not being left alone for long periods of time during the day. Children over 10 years preferable. *Sorry, not out-of-state adoptions.

Pre-Adoption Application: To be considered for a dog, it is best to submit a pre-adoption application. The Pre-Adoption Application can be downloaded from our website - http://www.waggintailsdogrescue.org/adoptionprocess.html. Just complete the application and email it back to wtdr2008@yahoo.com
Waggin' Tails Adoption Information: Waggin' Tails Dog Rescue has a standard adoption fee of $225 for adult dogs. Different adoption fees apply for older dogs, small breeds and puppies - $125 for senior dogs, $275 for small breed dogs and $250 for puppies, plus a $50 deposit which is returned upon proof of spay/neuter at six months of age. Our adoption process includes an application, vet reference checks, and a home visit.
We do not have a facility; all of our dogs are fostered in private homes. To view our dogs, please check www.waggintailsdogrescue.org for the dates of our next adoption events. To meet a dog in person, please see our event calendar for the latest information. Arrangements can be made to meet our rescue dogs outside of Saturday adoption events after an approved application is submitted (the application does not imply an obligation by the applicant or by the rescue group).
Please be kind to our volunteers who have made rescue a second job that they do in their spare time after coming home from full-time jobs. E-mail inquiries will be answered much more quickly than phone inquiries; our phone number is a voice mailbox only.
Thank you for your support of rescue and your interest in a rescue dog!
