Meet Tappie

Meet Tappie! She is a blue merle chi / pom mix who is 6 years old and about 10 pounds. She was rescued from a puppy mill where she was used as a breeding mom for years. She had little to no human interaction and from what we can tell they were not nice to her. She is very timid with strangers and needs a very patient new owner. She will now let her foster mom pick her up and cuddle with her, but it took some time and work. It will take at least a few weeks for her to get comfortable with someone else. Her foster mom had to make tappie sit with her so she would get used to her. She is very frightened of other people and will run at first. She will do best in a home with only one or two people and no kids. She will also do best with other dogs in the home. She is okay with cats. She does require a fence as well since she is so nervous. She needs a very loving and caring new owner who can take the time to gain her trust.
