Ophelia Domestic Short Hair Eau Claire, WI

Ophelia is a 1-and-1/2-year-old spayed female that became a shelter resident on 3/22/16 as her previous owner was moving. She is a long and lanky sweet girl, with green/gold eyes, and a very pretty torbie coat. Torbies are tortoiseshell cats with a tabby pattern. Poor Ophelia is terrified of being at the shelter, and spends much of her day hiding under anything that is in her kennel. However, when her kennel door opens, she often will pop out to see if you are the one that will give her a real home. Ophelia is a gentle and sweet girl that is simply overwhelmed by the chaos of shelter life. She is very alert to everything that is happening around her at all times. Ophelia will need a quiet home that will let her take her time getting used to her new environment, and will give her all the love that she could ever hope for. She is shy and mellow, but also very cuddly on her terms. She will come to you when ready for loving, but doesn't like to be confined in your arms for long periods of time. She will do best in a home without other animals where she can be your one and only princess. She definitely needs a home without a dog, but may tolerate a very submissive cat. She loves being petted, and enjoys spending time with humans that are familiar to her. She loves to run and chase after cat toys such as mice, balls, and feather toys. Ophelia is desperate to have a new home where she can relax, spend time bird-watching at a window, and enjoying time with the people she loves.
