Ivy American Staffordshire Terrier Mix Eau Claire, WI

Hi There! My name is Ivy, and I am a happy and confident American Staffordshire Terrier mix with a very pretty brindle and white coat. If you are looking for a loving dog that listens well and is housebroken, I may be the one for you, so please read on! I am an 8-year-old spayed female that joined the shelter family on 10/01/15. I may seem a bit nonchalant at first, but when I see someone with a leash in hand, I put on my prizewinning smile and display the happy-go-lucky girl that is hiding inside. I love to play, and I take treats very gently too. I love to be with people and going for a nice long adventure walk is the highlight of my day! You will most likely notice me pulling a bit at first, but I fall into a comfortable pace quickly and then I am much better, and I do great with a leader. I lived in a household with young children and did amazingly well with them. I am also good with most other dogs, so if you have another canine companion we could be best friends. Of course I would want to do a meet and greet here at the shelter first. I must ask for a home without cats because I am NOT feline friendly at all. I am a sweet girl and I love attention and being petted, but I am also independent enough to not be overly demanding of your attention. I simply appreciate all of the hugs and scratches that come my way. Please spend some time with me to see if I would be a good fit for your household. I am right here waiting to meet you!
