Bixby American Staffordshire Terrier Mix Eau Claire, WI

Hi There! My name is Bixby and I am a big sweetie looking for an active household to love me forever! I am a handsome American Staffordshire Terrier mix with a sleek black and white coat that is easy to care for. I am 2 years old and a neutered male. I have that cuddly, lap lover, excitable, playful personality that enjoys belly rubs and spending time with you. I will need a home without small children as I can be a bit food aggressive, but a home with older kids that would like to play fetch with me would be great! I love that game, and playing outside in a fenced in area where I can let loose and run fast is really fun. I have been crate trained and I know sit and come. I am not totally housebroken, but I am working on that and I do know what to do right away when I am taken outside. The volunteers and staff here are very good about praising me when I am good. Sometimes they even give me rawhide treats to chew on and I love them! I do well with some of the other dogs here at the shelter, but not with all of them, so be cautious when taking me for walks where there are a lot of other dogs. Also, before you adopt me, please check with your landlord and renter's insurance company or your homeowner's insurance company to make sure that they do not discriminate against my breed.
