Ki Greyhound & Labrador Retriever Mix Hood River, OR

Ki is a 3 yr old mix of pure, tender loving dog! Actually, in addition to that, he's probably a Greyhound/Lab mix. . .maybe pittie in there, too? He's just about 70 lbs. And what a turnaround this boy has made! When Ki and his sister first arrived at the shelter, he was nervous about meeting new people and clung to his sister's side for support. But she got adopted and left him to figure things out without her. And he has! I guess spending 2 months in a shelter with strangers being the only source of happiness and food made the difference, because Ki now gladly meets people and thinks life is just fine! He's had several day hikes with volunteers, and overnight stays, and all reports say this lovey boy is nothing but perfect! Other dogs, big or small? Perfect! Cats and kids? No problem! Leash and off leash walks? Delightful! Long hikes, short strolls? You bet! Housetrained? Of course! Goats? eh...well, let's change the subject! So ok, Ki likes goats, but not in a way the goats find endearing. So, if you have goats, maybe look for another dog, but if you don't, and you're looking for that missing piece to you life, that tug at your heart every time you walk through the door and are greeted with devotion and love, Ki is your dog! He's become accustomed to the good life, so plenty of pets and cuddle time are a natural for this guy...and he knows lots of basic commands, so smarts are on his side! And just one look into those deep, beautiful eyes and you feel like he's been yours for forever! He has so much he wants you to know, he just needs a chance! Ki is house trained, current on shots, microchipped and neutered. He'd love to go to a home with another dog, or at least lots of play dates with other dogs. The adoption fee for Ki is $195. The fee to adopt is charged to recoup standard veterinary expenses.
