Arrival story: Dudley was a stray found running the streets of Detroit with his pal, Quinn.

Approximate age / Weight: 5-6 years old / 50 lbs.

Personality: Everyone who meets Dudley loves him and vice-versa. He is as sweet as they come with a gentle nature. And, boy, does Dudley love the company of other dogs. He really enjoys making new friends at doggy daycare, rides well in the car, and does well at the vet. Dudley was successfully treated for heartworm, had several teeth removed, and was a trooper through it all.

Dudley is food motivated and eager to please. He isn’t too interested in toys but would rather hang out with dogs or people and enjoy some cuddle time.

Forever home: We think our friendly Dudley would fit into many home situations, but overall he would really enjoy a home with another dog(s) and/or attend doggy daycare as he is quite social.

Contact: Please contact wtdr2008@yahoo.com if you’re interested in adopting our sweet Dudley.

Pre-Adoption Application: To be considered for a dog, it is best to submit a pre-adoption application. The Pre-Adoption Application can be downloaded from our website - http://www.waggintailsdogrescue.org/adoptionprocess.html. Just complete the application and email it back to wtdr2008@yahoo.com
Waggin' Tails Adoption Information: Waggin' Tails Dog Rescue has a standard adoption fee of $225 for adult dogs. Different adoption fees apply for older dogs, small breeds and puppies - $125 for senior dogs, $275 for small breed dogs and $250 for puppies, plus a $50 deposit which is returned upon proof of spay/neuter at six months of age. Our adoption process includes an application, vet reference checks, and a home visit.
We do not have a facility; all of our dogs are fostered in private homes. To view our dogs, please check www.waggintailsdogrescue.org for the dates of our next adoption events. To meet a dog in person, please see our event calendar for the latest information. Arrangements can be made to meet our rescue dogs outside of Saturday adoption events after an approved application is submitted (the application does not imply an obligation by the applicant or by the rescue group).
Please be kind to our volunteers who have made rescue a second job that they do in their spare time after coming home from full-time jobs. E-mail inquiries will be answered much more quickly than phone inquiries; our phone number is a voice mailbox only.
Thank you for your support of rescue and your interest in a rescue dog!
