Meet Georgie

Georgie has been a terrific house-guest. No accidents, even when in the house for 10 hours while I was at work. No chewing, and almost no barking. He plays gently with his toys. He doesn't like going into his crate at night, but quiets down as soon as the lights go out and is fine until the morning. He has earned the privilege of roaming free about the house.

He remains anxious around new people, but if the situation isn't too hectic he will relax pretty quickly and allow himself to be petted and held.
He gets along well with my dog, Jack, and follows him around like a big brother. He has shown some mild curiosity toward my cat, but no aggression and no chasing.

He has gotten use to the leash very quickly, and loves our walks. Despite his previous injury I don't see any problem at all with his gait, and he jumps just fine!
He is going to be a great addition to some lucky family.

Georgie was rescued after being hit by a car on September 16, 2014 at 4 months of age. His rear legs were saved through emergency orthopedic surgery. Hi is good as new and loves everyone even after the abuse he has suffered.

He weighs 23 lbs and he's ready to be adopted from head to toe...sterilized, vaccinated, perfect!

Georgie will be available for adoption on November 24th! Please visit our Petfinder website: www.petfinder.com/shelters/scsr.html for a complete listing of available dogs and access to our adoption application and details regarding the adoption process. By requesting information on this dog and initiating the adoption process, it is by no means a guarantee that the dog you have inquired about is yours to adopt. This is the first step of the adoption process. Sato Heart Rescue does not place our dogs on a "first come, first served" basis, but does adopt to the best home that matches the needs of the dog and adoptive family. Our primary purpose is to find the right match for you and the rescue awaiting their "second chance." The adoption fee is $365.00 (of which $75.00 is to cover transportation expenses) & the majority of the fee is sent to Puerto Rico to continue the rescue work. Adoptions fees must be paid in cash or check, we cannot accept credit cards at this time. All dogs come fully vaccinated, spayed/neutered, are been seen by a vet prior to making their journey to NH. and are seen by a licensed NH Vet to obtain their State of NH Health Certificate (per NH Dept of Agriculture law) before being adopted.
