Meet Fernie

Hi There! My name is Fernie, and I am a 1-and-1/2 year old spayed female Spaniel mix with really cute little black spots and adorable floppy ears. I am a little wary about being a shelter resident, so I may seem timid at first, but as soon as I feel comfortable with you my true loving personality starts to shine. I give kisses and take treats gently, and I love being scratched, petted, talked to, and taken for walks. I just need that slow introduction and reassurance that all is well in my world. I am energetic and will need an active home that will make sure I receive plenty of exercise. I do join in on the choirs of barking here at the shelter because it seems to be the thing to do, but I really don't bark very much when I am out on walks. My shelter safer tests did show a bit of food aggressiveness, so make sure you ask for more information about that. I am very anxious to have a loving forever home.
