Meet Kay

Kay is a gorgeous 1 1/2 year old spayed female that was lucky to have been rescued off the street and brought to the shelter as a stray on 4/10/15. She had been wounded leaving a deep hole the size of a nickel in her neck. Off to the vet she went to be stitched up and is doing just fine. Kay is a petite girl with pretty green/gold eyes and a very soft coat. If you listen closely you will hear her soothing whisper of a purr before you even have a chance to touch her. Open her cage door and she comes right up to you and rubs HARD into your hand begging to be petted, scratched and loved. She knows what she wants and can be a real Chatty Cathy when she has something to say. She is content and feels safe in your arms, but is cautious when entering a new environment; she stays very alert to everything that is happening around her until she is convinced that all is well and you really can't blame her. Kay is one of the sweetest cats that we have seen at the shelter, and seems to be extra appreciative of all the attention that comes her way. This one is a gem of a girl.
