Sadie Husky & Hound Mix Eau Claire, WI

Am I super cute or what? Everyone keeps telling me that I am adorably cute from the freckles on my nose all the way down to the dash of white on the end of my tail. My name is Sadie, and I am a female Husky/Hound mix. I was sadly surrendered to the shelter on 4/05/15 at 10 months of age because I had too much energy for my previous owner's life style. I do have to admit that I LOVE to go on long walks, and I love it even more when I am out with a human that likes to run or take me jogging. This is why I need an active home with an experienced dog owner that is aware of the amount of exercise needed for a young dog of my breed. Some of my walkers have treats for me and thank me for being polite when I am good on leash, or when I show them that I know sit and down. My Husky/Hound instincts do kick in when a small animal runs in front of me, so I will definitely need a home without cats. I do well with most other dogs, and I am good with strangers once I have been given a little time to get to know them. The shelter is a very scary place for a shy dog, so I have been staying in an area of the building where there are fewer new faces for me to deal with on a daily basis, but please don't let this keep you from visiting with me - just ask for me by name and the staff will be happy to introduce me to you. I am very sweet and I miss cuddling with my previous owner on the couch in the evenings while having my under neck scratched; I also miss the peanut butter, cheese and rawhide bones that they would give me when I was an extra good girl. I would like you to know that I will need to be spayed before going home with you and that in my previous home I was trained to ring a bell on the door to go outside. I am a bit nervous when having my nails trimmed, and even though I am not afraid of thunder storms, I do like to stay close to you during them. I am waiting to meet you, so please ask to see me!
