Ricky and Toby Tabby New Kensington, PA

Ricky and Toby are two buddies looking for a home. Ricky is roughly 2 1/2 and Toby is roughly 5 years old. These two kitties came to Animal Protectors within two weeks of each other and both tested positive for FIV. They are currently hanging out together in a foster home and ,as you can see, have become good pals. They are two of the four cats we recently acquired that are FIV+. Adopting a pair like Ricky and Toby would make their world complete. Adopt one and the other's adoption fee will be waived.

Our vet has told us that cats that have FIV can have the same lifespan as any other cat as long as he is kept inside, away from sick cats and has a low stress home. These cats do not require any special medical care or medicines for the FIV and it can only be transmitted to other cats through mating or deep bite wounds. It cannot be transmitted to humans or any other type of animals.
