Arrival story: Moses came to us so he could find a person/family more suited to caring for a dog his stature and personality.

Approximate age / Weight: Approx 1 year old / 140 lbs.

Personality: Our big boy is just a goof. A gentle giant. Moses still acts like a pup and is doing well in training class learning the basics with volunteer Monica. He is very smart and learns quickly. Moses still can be a bit mouthy but he is gentle with his mouth. With his big jowels, Moses does have a tendency to drool a bit. He is relatively quiet, not much of a barker. Moses is playful and loves to be with people. In fact, this boy is a big snuggler and will try to sneak a spot in bed or on the couch with you.

Moses is nervous in the car but good at the vet’s office. He is still working on his leash skills and at 140lbs will need a person/family willing to continue his positive-based training to make him a great companion.

Forever home: As a young dog, Moses will thrive in a home with a person/family willing to continue his positive-based training and that understands the needs of a large breed dog. Moses would do best in a home where someone is home most of the day.

Contact: Please contact wtdr2008@yahoo.com if you’re interested in adopting Moses!

Pre-Adoption Application: To be considered for a dog, it is best to submit a pre-adoption application. The Pre-Adoption Application can be downloaded from our website - http://www.waggintailsdogrescue.org/adoptionprocess.html. Just complete the application and email it back to wtdr2008@yahoo.com
Waggin' Tails Adoption Information: Waggin' Tails Dog Rescue has a standard adoption fee of $225 for adult dogs. Different adoption fees apply for older dogs, small breeds and puppies - $125 for senior dogs, $275 for small breed dogs and $250 for puppies, plus a $50 deposit which is returned upon proof of spay/neuter at six months of age. Our adoption process includes an application, vet reference checks, and a home visit.
We do not have a facility; all of our dogs are fostered in private homes. To view our dogs, please check www.waggintailsdogrescue.org for the dates of our next adoption events. To meet a dog in person, please see our event calendar for the latest information. Arrangements can be made to meet our rescue dogs outside of Saturday adoption events after an approved application is submitted (the application does not imply an obligation by the applicant or by the rescue group).
Please be kind to our volunteers who have made rescue a second job that they do in their spare time after coming home from full-time jobs. E-mail inquiries will be answered much more quickly than phone inquiries; our phone number is a voice mailbox only.
Thank you for your support of rescue and your interest in a rescue dog!
