Bernie and Benny are a bonded pair of 1-and-1/2 year old neutered males that need to be adopted together; they are not brothers, just have similar backgrounds and instantly became best friends. They have a difficult time adapting to changes in their lives, but are quite brave as a pair. When separated they become concerned and search for each other. Bernie and Benny spend much of their time playing and grooming each other; once comfortable in their environment they will go off on independent adventures. When at play they sometimes get a bit rough with each other, but don't worry because they are just fine. They are in need of a quiet home without children as they really do not care for them. Bernie is very handsome and loves to be with people. He will jump up on your lap to be petted, scratched, and snuggled. His favorite type of attention is to have his cheeks rubbed and will quickly migrate up to your face with kisses and nuzzling on his mind. From time to time you may find him sleeping by your feet. He LOVES small catnip toys and RED glitter balls that he can easily carry around in his mouth, and will play fetch for short periods of time with them. He becomes attached to special toys and hides them from Benny, so don't be surprised if one day you have a toy in your shoe or find a pile of toys under your chair. Slow running water in a sink is also very interesting to him, and he likes to paw at it. Bernie also loves crunchy treats, and just can't seem to get enough. Benny is a big boy that loves nothing more than to be brushed and will even flop over on his back to make sure you don't miss his belly. He is a lover and enjoys spending time on your lap, but most of the time waits for you to pick him up and put him there so that he knows he is welcome. He is excellent about not jumping up on counter tops and also enjoys treats. Benny will play with wand-toys that have a human attached to the other end, and some catnip toys, but feels that chasing and playing with Bernie is much more fun. Both cats love climbing on cat towers and are good about using them and nothing else as scratching posts. They love watching birds and squirrels from a window and are excellent bug catchers. They do well with most other cats and they are learning to trust a dog. NOTE: Bernie and Benny are currently in a foster home because the shelter environment was too overwhelming for them.
