Special Needs: Mocha is prone to ear infections and needs them cleaned out once a week.

Arrival story: Mocha was surrendered by an owner due to illness in the family. She was a bit neglected, but is adjusting nicely into her foster home with her canine foster pal and learning what it's like to be a normal dog!

Approximate age / weight: 2.5 years young and 14 lbs.

Personality: This little cutie is skiddish in new environments and new noises may scare her. We found that having another dog in the home helps her with her fears and really brings out her friendly and playful side! A home with a canine pal is a must. Mocha is good with people and other dogs, and she would be happiest in a home where she will get lots of attention. Mocha is crate-trained, house-trained, and knows how to sit! She is content in her crate while no one is home with a Kong full of goodies, but otherwise prefers to be out and about. Mocha prefers to sleep with you at night, where she'll cuddle quickly and settle right down!

Forever home: Our lively little Mocha needs a home with a canine buddy to help her when she's feeling a little scared. A home with a fence-in yard is required.

Waggin' Tails Adoption Information: Waggin' Tails Dog Rescue has a standard adoption fee of $225 for adult dogs. Different adoption fees apply for older dogs, small breeds and puppies - $125 for senior dogs, $275 for small breed dogs and $250 for puppies, plus a $50 deposit which is returned upon proof of spay/neuter at six months of age. Our adoption process includes an application, vet reference checks, and a home visit.
We do not have a facility; all of our dogs are fostered in private homes. To view our dogs, please check www.waggintailsdogrescue.org for the dates of our next adoption events. To meet a dog in person, please see our event calendar for the latest information. Arrangements can be made to meet our rescue dogs outside of Saturday adoption events after an approved application is submitted (the application does not imply an obligation by the applicant or by the rescue group).
