George Border Collie Mix Eau Claire, WI

Hello, my name is George and I am available for adoption because my previous owners moved and were not able to take me with them. I am a 1 year old male Border Collie mix with lots of happy energy. I am gentle and have been well socialized. I play hard and then sleep sound dreaming of being loved forever by you! I have not had formal obedience training, but I do know sit, kennel, go-to-bed, and down. I would love to be adopted by a family that would like to teach me more commands and some tricks. I am confident and very eager to learn, but I will admit that sometimes I do get distracted by smells. A quick treat, which by the way I take very gently, is sure to turn my focus back onto you. I love to play, run, and learn new things, so I may be a good candidate for agility, herding, rally, fly ball, Frisbee, or obedience training. I am food motivated and I love attention - I just can't seem to get enough snuggle time. I am good with strangers, most other dogs, and my previous owner said that I sometimes play rough, but that I love cats and kids and would never hurt anyone. I came in with thin areas to my coat, so I may be allergic to fleas. I was treated and now my coat is coming back in quite nicely and I am not itching at all. I will need time to be neutered before I can go home with you, so I hope that you have time to visit with me soon.
