Polly (at PetSmart) Domestic Short Hair Eau Claire, WI

Polly is a lovely 5 year old spayed female with beautiful green eyes. She has spent some time in a foster home with three other cats and did well with them. This foster home also has two large dogs that Polly was fearful of at first, but learned quickly that being face to face with them isn't so scary after all. This sweet girl just doesn't like to jump into a new situation with all four paws, but prefers to take things a bit slower to make sure everything is safe. Polly would prefer a home without children; however, she is very loyal and loving with her special family and may do fine with quiet and gentle older kids. She likes to be in the room with you to keep an eye on what you are doing, but she is not too clingy. Polly enjoys being groomed. She LOVES being brushed and will lean into you for extra petting. She will also tell you that she is ready for some attention by rubbing around your ankles, and then flopping on her back for belly rubs. She enjoys exploring every corner of the house and loves to sit in the sun or watch the birds and small outdoor animals from a window. Light up toys, balls, and catnip mice encourage her to show off her playful side, so you will want to make sure to have lots of those around for her to play with. Poor Polly was very sadly surrendered to the shelter on 1/25/15 when her previous owner was no longer able to care for her, and she is anxious to once again have a loving forever home.
