Riley Jack Russell Terrier & Beagle Mix Eau Claire, WI

Hi, I'm Riley! I am a 2 year old Jack Russell Terrier/Beagle mix and I want to be your everything! You see, my previous owner passed away and I really miss being an important pet in someone's life. I am housebroken, and I know sit and stay along with some hand commands. I am very energetic and will do best in an active household that will take me on long walks and will play with me. Do you know how to throw a Frisbee? That's great, because I love to catch the small ones. I have been through beginning and intermediate obedience classes, which was a blast and I learned to get along with other dogs. I have heard about something called agility training which I think would be fun too, and I am sure that I would be really good at it because I can run like the wind when I set my mind to it. Which reminds me - I am very polite on leash, but sometimes I want to chase cars, so you will need to keep me close when we go for walks down a road. I hope you have lots of toys. My previous owner used to give me one with treats inside and peanut butter on top. Oh, I am starting to get all wiggly just thinking about it. I like most treats, but can't handle tough treats like solid rawhide, so please avoid buying those for me. I am a bit food aggressive, which is why I will need a home without small children that may try to take treats away from me. Responsible children over 12 would be fine. Like most Jack Russell Terriers I can be a little wary of strangers at first, but I warm up very quickly, and before you know it I'm your best friend. I have not been around cats, but I love to chase, so my guess is that I may do best in a home without them. I sure would love to be adopted soon, so please stop over to see if I would be a good match for your household.
