Molly is 2 yrs old, 46 lbs, and quite the Aussie beauty. It's hard to keep your eyes off this girl! Molly is very insecure, though, and unsure of the world. Her owners just didn't have the time to give her the exercise, training and attention she needs, and so she often spent her days crated. Here at the shelter she usually scampers around, keeping a close eye on people, and if you just stop and wait, she's sure to approach and gladly take a nice pet. And then she's like buttah! And her favorite spot is at your feet! Molly is the perfect walking partner and very calm on a leash. But until she really gets to know and trust her new family, off-leash walks should wait. Molly is a typical Aussie - smart, eager to please, active and ready to work. But she needs to be an only dog in the house, because her breed is known for keeping other animals in line. Same with kids... only older kids for this girl, because she takes her Aussie heritage and job seriously and will herd them, too! And we've been told by Aussie experts that Molly is an excellent example of the breed...she just needs some tweaking, but the potential is definitely there. Molly tends to bond with one person and becomes very protective, so she really needs a dog-savvy person willing to put the time and energy into working with her on these behaviors and her insecurities. She's got lots of trust to build with us, but thankfully she sure is eager to try! Molly is beginning to show her playful side and her time at the shelter has gotten more fun because of that. Molly is current on shots, microchipped and spayed. The adoption fee for Molly is $225. The fee to adopt is charged to recoup standard veterinary expenses.
