Bitsy Boxer & Shepherd Mix Palatine, IL

Helloooo? Are you out there? My people? How does this work?

I’m Bitsy. I’m a 4-year-old Boxer/Shepherd mix and I just don’t understand why I haven’t found my people! As you can tell from my photo, I’m worried, perplexed, concerned.

What am I doing wrong? I’m crate-trained, housebroken, don’t chew on things I shouldn’t; I’m friendly, playful, and snuggly. What more can I do?

I love my walks and if you go for a run, take me along! Any adventure is good in my book. Car rides are fun, too. I’m up for anything! During the day, I’m in doggie day care and I really enjoy it. At my foster home I tend to spend a lot of time with my toys, tossing them up in the air and chasing them down.

I’m not a huge barker but I have a great variety of vocal sounds that I use to express myself. It makes my foster people laugh. Maybe you’ll enjoy that too? I’m certain you’ll like my snuggles…I’m a champion!

Oh, one thing I should tell you. If you have small pets in your home — cats, gerbils, birds — that’s not a good fit for me. It’s just too tempting to chase them!

Are you the person who can wipe this worry off my face and replace it with joy? (I confess I have a certain affinity for men with beards. They’re my “type.”) Come meet me this Saturday, please, this hopeful girl is waiting!

If you are interested in adopting this sweet girl, you must send an application or email us at adoptions@sccrescue.org prior to a Saturday Adoption Event so we know you plan on attending. If we do not receive any communication from you, Bitsy may be adopted out at our event prior to 12 pm if the perfect home comes along :-)

Also, we only adopt our animals out near Chicagoland... we are sorry but we cannot accept any out of state applications. We look forward to speaking with you!
