Meet Dixie
Our little tabby Dixie was rescued by a Good Samaritan who saw her tiny broken body lying next to her dead sister in the road. The poor baby was lucky. When her rescuer brought her to us, veterinarians discovered a badly broken leg, but no life-threatening injuries. Her foster mom has kept her very still so the leg would heal & now she is a playful, active kitten who frequently imitates a monkey. She is easily startled, so we guess her family had no humans to care for them. She loves toys & play, she has learned to love to be cuddled & petted, & she has been very healthy. We guess Dixie was born late in August. She tested negative for FeLV & FIV & is current on vaccines for her age. She will of course be spayed at the appropriate time. We would prefer her be adopted into an indoor home with little chance of injury, so no small children or rambunctious dogs. If you want to help this little survivor move onto her happier days, please contact LMHANDVTM@msn.com or 540/586-6100 for more info.
