Meet Flynt

Hello, there! My name is Flynt, although my foster family calls me “Trip,” short for Tripod. Don’t let my nickname fool you, though! Even though I only have three feet, I get anywhere I want to go, even to the top of the Lotus Tree cat tower.

Senator Payne in “Mr. Smith Goes to Washington” said you have to go along to get along, and I have taken that to heart. I am always up for whatever, and get along with cats, dogs, goats, chickens, children (young and old), and anyone else who crosses my path. I love to play, especially wrestling and chase, and I can even out run my foster family’s puppy! I also like anything I can roll across the floor.

I love warm weather, and playing ball on the porch with the other cats, or just lazing around. My foster family has noticed that when it is cold out, my limp is a little more pronounced, and they take care to make sure I am warm enough. I refused to wear my kitty sweater, though, and hid it under the couch.

When I am not running around or playing, I like to snuggle on someone’s lap and watch television, or bat at the cursor on the computer screen. I am very soft, and like my ears scratched.

My favorite time of the day is in the evening, when my foster mommy calls, “Here, Kitty, Kitty!” because that means it’s wet cat food time, and all of the foster kittens get a few tablespoons of wet food apiece. I am definitely not a fussy eater (although, I am used to grain free cat food), and will chow on wet food as long as you give it to me.

I’m a wonderful boy, and by no means “special needs,” even being a leg short of a set, and would make anyone an excellent companion

GDU does ask a minimum adoption donation of 300.00. This is a minimum donation and does not cover all expenses as we are funded solely by the angels and volunteers willing to donate time and finances. This minimum donation includes DAPP, rabies if age appropriate, bordetella, heartworm test and preventative if age appropriate and flea and tick treatment, as well as neutering or spaying if the animal is medically sound to undergo surgery. It also includes a new family member starter kit, a small transitional bag of the food they have been on, and some special items they may have grown attached to in their foster home. This minimum donation does not even begin to cover the actual expenses each animal has while in rescue, but does go directly towards vet care for our rescue animals.
