Arrival story: Discovered living in and near an abandoned, burned-out home in Detroit it took great teamwork to pull off this rescue. Audrey was saved along with 3 other dogs.

Approximate age / Weight: 1-2 years old / 45 lbs.

Personality: Miss Audrey is light on her feet and is so unique in her appearance we cannot come to an agreement on her breed here at Waggin’ Tails. She sure is a beauty and as sweet as they come. She likes to play with other dogs. She seeks out people for affection and will lean into you for some lovin’ and takes treats gently. She arrived filthy after living in a burned-out home and we are not sure how long she was there.

Forever home: Audrey would fit into many different situations. She is very timid right now (especially with men) and would do best in a quiet home with a family who is willing to take things a little slow with her. She is a huge snuggler and just wants to be with people. She would be fine with a doggie buddy or as an only dog. Audrey LOVES squeaky toys and will chase them, nicely bring them back and drop them for the next throw. She also really likes chasing balls (although she doesn't always bring them back).

Contact: Please contact wtdr2008@yahoo.com if you’re interested in adopting Audrey!

Pre-Adoption Application: To be considered for a dog, it is best to submit a pre-adoption application. The Pre-Adoption Application can be downloaded from our website - http://www.waggintailsdogrescue.org/adoptionprocess.html. Just complete the application and email it back to wtdr2008@yahoo.com
Waggin' Tails Adoption Information: Waggin' Tails Dog Rescue has a standard adoption fee of $225 for adult dogs. Different adoption fees apply for older dogs, small breeds and puppies - $125 for senior dogs, $275 for small breed dogs and $250 for puppies, plus a $50 deposit which is returned upon proof of spay/neuter at six months of age. Our adoption process includes an application, vet reference checks, and a home visit.
We do not have a facility; all of our dogs are fostered in private homes. To view our dogs, please check www.waggintailsdogrescue.org for the dates of our next adoption events. To meet a dog in person, please see our event calendar for the latest information. Arrangements can be made to meet our rescue dogs outside of Saturday adoption events after an approved application is submitted (the application does not imply an obligation by the applicant or by the rescue group).
Please be kind to our volunteers who have made rescue a second job that they do in their spare time after coming home from full-time jobs. E-mail inquiries will be answered much more quickly than phone inquiries; our phone number is a voice mailbox only.
Thank you for your support of rescue and your interest in a rescue dog!
