Meet Tabu

Tabu is a 4 year old spayed female that became a shelter resident on 9/23/14. Her previous owner loved her very much, but could no longer afford to have a pet. Tabu is a very regal and elegant cat. She does well with dogs and other cats, but she is a little shy around children until she has had time to get to know them better. Tabu is very friendly and affectionate. She craves attention, but on her terms. If you go after her she will sometimes run or hide, but if you ignore her, she pesters to be petted by rubbing her head against your legs. She is not fond of being held in your arms for any length of time, but prefers to be petted, groomed, or scratched while on your lap or beside you. This lovely lady has a constant purr of contentment when she is with you. She is very playful and would do best in a home with other pets, lots of catnip toys, and balls to play with. Tabu is an awesome feline with a heart of gold.
