Oreo Wirehaired Terrier Eau Claire, WI

Hello, my name is Oreo and I would like to thank you for reading about me. I am a 3 year old female Wire Terrier in need of a new home because my previous owner became very ill and was no longer able to care for me. The shelter is a pretty scary place with all the noise and strangers, but I am trying my best to be very brave. Everyone here is super nice to me and I am well cared for, but there is nothing like the comfort of a loving home and I sure hope the perfect one is found for me soon. Do you like sweet little lap dogs? If so, please read on! I am a super enthusiastically snuggly girl that loves to be held and cuddled. You will find me pushing and leaning into you for more and more attention as you talk to me quietly and scratch me from head to tail, and back up to my head. Your lap will most likely be one of my favorite places in the whole world to spend time relaxing and enjoying life. I love the company of humans, and used to follow my previous owner around the house all the time. I am not too sure why, but I received lots of extra praise when it was discovered that I am good about having my nails clipped and my ears cleaned - a girl likes to look pretty you know! I am very polite on leash, and I love to play tug and fetch. I would also like you to know that I do well with cats, gentle children, and most other dogs. I have not been taught any of the basic commands, but I am very eager to learn! Please keep in mind that I will need to be spayed before leaving the shelter.
