Murphy is a 1 and 1/2 year old neutered male that has fallen into some bad luck lately. First, he found himself lost in the country wondering where his next meal was coming from until he came across a kind household that started to feed him and seemed to enjoy his company. Murphy was so excited about finding a new home with humans to care for him, but on 7/27/14, that family surrendered him to the shelter and poor Murphy found himself homeless once again. They thought he was a wonderful cat and had no complaints about him; they said that he enjoyed human interaction and was very people oriented, but they simply had no interest in owning a pet. Murphy has not given up on humans, and is sure that his luck will change when he meets you! Murphy is the essence of cat - soft and cuddly with a quiet purr of contentment, peaceful, mellow as a fine wine, and yet inquisitive and adventurous. He is independent enough to entertain himself if you are having a busy day, and yet relishes any opportunity to be cuddled and petted. He will melt on your lap and lean into you for more scratching, and at the same time you may find him making biscuits on your lap in order to tell you that he is claiming you as his own. Murphy is a wonderful cat that is so tender and sweet, and he is right here, waiting for you to give him a loving home forever.
