Meet Duke - In Foster Care
This is Duke!
Duke is about 1 to 2 years old. He has a medium build and we think he is a mix of Sharpei and Australian Shepherd. He is up to date on his shots and is neutered. He is also on heartworm preventative. He weighs about 51 lbs.
Duke was found in someone's back yard. When he first came to the shelter, he was very scared and it took a few days for him to trust people. Of course, we know nothing about his background but he was in good physical shape and appeared to be well taken care of. He knows how to sit and loves going for car rides. He is crate trained and walks well on a leash. He loves having his belly rubbed. He is still a bit shy and afraid of loud noises and movements so a home with older children would be better than young children (over 12). He would make a great companion for a single person or a couple. He bonds quickly to one person.
