Bonez (gentle giant) Saint Bernard & Rottweiler Mix Eau Claire, WI

Woof (greetings)! My name is Bonez, and I am in need of a home without children under the age of 10. I am a 4 year old St. Bernard/Rottweiler mix, and a gentle giant, but from time to time I forget how small kids are and I could easily bump them over by accident. I LOVE long walks and running with a bike. Sometimes, I get extra excited about going for a walk and have been known to jump straight up in the air with excitement, but I am really very good on leash and I quiet down quickly once I am outside. I am a neutered male, and was surrendered to the shelter because my bark is as large as I am which can be a little scary if you don't know me, and I do have a tendency to bark at other dogs and strangers at first. I am fine with cats, and lick strangers after given just a few minutes to get to know them better. I am really a big, cuddly baby that loves attention. I take treats extra gently and I like to sit like a human on the couch which always makes people laugh. I even like to sit on your lap! Back when I was a 2 year old I was featured on "The View" for the most adorable dog and everyone was extremely proud of me. My family and I already knew that I was adorable, and may I add that I still am, but it was a fun day. When there aren't people around I get scared of loud noises like thunder, and I can be protective of wet food, but I am fine with dry food and rawhides. Please remember that my favorite treats are rawhides, fresh carrots and most of all blueberries..........YUM. I have not had formal obedience training, but I do know sit, speak, and shake, and you will also be glad to know that I am housebroken. My dream home is one with a large house and a fenced in yard where I can run and play, and family members that will make sure to spend lots of time exercising and loving me forever!
