Bart Standard Poodle Eau Claire, WI

Hey There! I'm Bart and I am a 9 year old neutered male, apricot Standard Poodle! My friends here at the shelter say that my name fits me well because I look like a Bart, and I am so very sweet, calm, easy-going, and I love to cuddle. I especially love LONG walks and you will be happy to know that I am very polite on leash. My bark has been removed, so I can only show you how much I love you instead of tell you, but that won't hold me back. I am a special needs dog because my eye sight is deteriorating and I am nearly blind, therefore, I will need a quiet home without the noise and quick movements of young children. Calm children over the age of 10 that understand my special needs would be fine. This is my second stay at the shelter. When I first came in, I had a tumor on my back right hip, dental disease, and a severely matted coat. The vet removed my tumor and performed dental procedures, and I had multiple grooms. After all of that I felt much better and was so happy to be adopted into a quiet home with an older couple, but now they have gone to live in a nursing home and I am once again homeless. I will miss them dearly as I loved them just as much as they loved me, but I know that I must move on. Yes, I have gone through some tough times, but my past has only made me more special. I am good with some dogs and I am working on being housebroken. If you want someone to smile at you and love to see you when you get home, I'm all yours. I am in need of a hero that can offer me the good life for the rest of my golden years.
