Bear Labrador Retriever Mix Eau Claire, WI

Hi There, my name is Bear, and I am a 1 and 1/2 year old neutered male Labrador Retriever mix. I am fine with cats, but I will need a home without other dogs. A household with at least one member that would love to play fetch with me is also preferred. I am a very high energy dog and I love that game! It's a good way to help me run off some of my energy as well as providing us with bonding time and entertainment. I was brought to the shelter when my previous owner could no longer care for me, and my history is still a bit of a mystery, but it appears that I have not had formal obedience training. I do know sit however, so that's a start. I am confident and a very sweet guy that just needs someone to exercise me every day, and will provide me with new things to learn. I do pull on leash some when I am first taken outside, but I become much more polite once I have been out with you for a while, and then you will see the easy-going side of my personality. I have been keeping my kennel clean most of the time, but I am still working on becoming totally housebroken. I am a genuinely happy dog whose face lights up noticeably at the prospect of a walk, and I would probably make a fabulous running partner.
