Ned Rhodesian Ridgeback & Great Dane Mix Eau Claire, WI

Hi, my name is Ned. I am 5 years old, and a male Rhodesian Ridgeback/Great Dane mix. Guess that explains why I am such a large boy. I was brought to the shelter as a stray, and quickly became a staff and volunteer favorite. They all keep telling me that I am a good boy, so it must be true! I am a big baby that loves attention and spending time with humans. I am also good with some dogs. I have been keeping my kennel clean, so that is a great sign that I am most likely housebroken, and I scored well on all of my shelter safer tests. I know this is going to sound kind of silly, and to tell you the truth I am a little embarrassed about it, but during my testing it was discovered that I have no idea what a toy is, and I was actually afraid of the ball. Yup, I'm a big lovable cuddly bear all right! I am strong on leash at first, but I calm down quickly and then I am much more polite. Remember that dogs my size need a lot of exercise, so I will need to be taken for a walk every day and will do best with an active household. Most of the other dogs here seem to know more commands than I do - all I know is sit, which is very important if I want a treat, but I am a smart guy, and would love to learn any command or trick that you can come up with. Really, any activity that gives us more time together would be great! I will need to be neutered before leaving the shelter, so please apply for me soon!!
