Arrival story: Sadie was found as a stray in Detroit by a good Samaritan who scooped her up and contacted Waggin Tails. Sadie was rummaging in the garbage for food and had been shot by a pellet gun. It was soon discovered that Sadie was pregnant and delivered 10 pups, 8 of which survived.

Personality: Our beautiful tri-colored Sadie is a young, playful girl. She's a new mom but acts like a silly pup herself. She likes to romp in the yard and play bow and pounce at her foster mom. She's very silly and affectionate and loves to cuddle. Sadie is very spunky and adorable. It's easy to fall in love with this sweet and sassy little lady. She loves to play with toys and balls and frisbees. She is fine with other dogs but they're not always crazy about her exuberant play style. Sadie sometimes gets carried away when meeting new dogs so proper introductions are a must as well as rewarding her for appropriate greetings. We get the impression she's not too fond of the kitties so a cat free home would probably be best. Sadie likes to go for walks and is a great companion in the car. Sadie is just a happy go lucky and friendly girl who will make a great companion.

Forever home: Sadie would do well in a variety of home situations. She's young and outgoing and has proven to adjust quickly to the couple of foster homes she lived in during her puppy delivery and eventual separation. Sadie would benefit greatly from attending basic obedience classes and would probably love activities like agility or other people/dog bonding activities. Sadie does not live with children now and we do not know her history. She can be a little mouthy like a pup so a home without children or with older children would be best. She would do fine with a well suited dog companion but would also do well as an only dog because she loves being with people the most. A home without cats would be best. Sadie would love a forever home of her own and put her days as a stray behind her. She'll be a wonderful companion.
