Good With Kids: Zume is good with children, but because she doesn’t realize her size, a home with older kids is best.
Good With Dogs: Medium to large dogs, but Zume would prefer to be an only child.

Walks Nicely On A Leash: Yes, but Zume will try to chase an occasional squirrel or bird, so her human needs to be alert.
Knows Basic Commands: This beautiful girl knows come, sit, stay, down, leave it, and will politely sit at any door waiting to go through and will sit while having her lead put on for walks. Good girl, Zume!
Energy Level (Couch Potato, Moderate or High): Low but she will chase the ball several times if you’ll through it.

Arrival story: Zume (pronounced Zoomie) was being trained for a veteran by Pets for Vets, but the adoption fell through at the last minute, so she is still looking for her forever family while living with her trainer/ foster family.
Personality: Sweet Zume is very loving and affectionate. She follows her people from room to room not wanting to be far away from them, even sleeping next to the bed at night. She loves her belly rubs and is always willing to meet new friends. Her whole body wags when you come home after being away. She also listens very well, but if a small animal crosses her path, all bets are off. Zume is a good girl who knows her commands and loves to go for car rides.
Forever home: Zume is looking for a loving family to call her very own. In return, she will be your loving and faithful companion. Small children may get knocked over due to Zume's size, so a home with older children is best. She's good with medium/large dogs, but Zume would prefer to have you all to herself. Being an only dog suits her just fine.
