Meet Lacey

Good With Kids: Older kids would be best. They need to be gentle to her because Lacey is a small dog.
Good With Other Dogs: Yes most of the time. She is fine with the resident dogs at her foster home, but she could be bossy sometimes.
Good With Cats: She's figuring out what to think of them at her foster home. It would be best if her forever family doesn't have a cat.
Housetrained: Yes
Crate Trained: Yes.
Walks Nicely On A Leash: Lacey prefers running to walking.
Knows Basic Commands: Lacey knows wait, come and sit.
Energy Level (Couch Potato, Moderate, or High): go go go
Special Needs: For her entire life, she has never been left alone home more than 4 hours during the day. She would really love to find a home where someone is home most of the day.

Approximate age / Weight: 6 years old and 20 lbs.

Arrival story: Lacey was surrendered by her family. They had her since she was a puppy. Their living situation changed and they could no longer have a dog.

Personality: Lacey is a bubbly, sweet, fun little girl!! She loves to go for a fast-paced long walk or jog. If you're a runner, she will be a great jogging partner. She is affectionate and likes getting pets and giving kisses. Every time you come home, Lacey will greet you with lots of excitement and love! Her favorite place to sleep at night is under the blanket right next to you.

Forever home: an active home with people that will walk or jog with her daily and play with her. Lacey is a very smart girl. She could be an agility star if you're willing to train her. Rat Terriers are know to seek adventures. Lacey needs a fenced yard to safely play and romp around in. She might be best as an only pet, but could be a companion for an active dog of her size.

Contact: Please contact wtdr2008@yahoo.com if you’re interested in adopting cutie Lacey.

Pre-Adoption Application: To be considered for a dog, it is best to submit a pre-adoption application. The Pre-Adoption Application can be downloaded from our website - http://www.waggintailsdogrescue.org/adoptionprocess.html. Just complete the application and email it back to wtdr2008@yahoo.com
Waggin' Tails Adoption Information: Waggin' Tails Dog Rescue has a standard adoption fee of $225 for adult dogs. Different adoption fees apply for older dogs, small breeds and puppies - $125 for senior dogs, $275 for small breed dogs and $250 for puppies, plus a $50 deposit which is returned upon proof of spay/neuter at six months of age. Our adoption process includes an application, vet reference checks, and a home visit.
We do not have a facility; all of our dogs are fostered in private homes. To view our dogs, please check www.waggintailsdogrescue.org for the dates of our next adoption events. To meet a dog in person, please see our event calendar for the latest information. Arrangements can be made to meet our rescue dogs outside of Saturday adoption events after an approved application is submitted (the application does not imply an obligation by the applicant or by the rescue group).
Please be kind to our volunteers who have made rescue a second job that they do in their spare time after coming home from full-time jobs. E-mail inquiries will be answered much more quickly than phone inquiries; our phone number is a voice mailbox only.
Thank you for your support of rescue and your interest in a rescue dog!
