Julius Poodle & Bichon Frise Mix Orange, CA

Julius is an approximately 5 year old neutered male miniature Poodle-Bichon weighing 16 lbs. He was found as a stray in Woodland in northern California, but his owner did not come for him. He is neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated and heartworm tested. This adorable boy passed the shelter's temperament test, meaning he was social with the testers, tolerant of invasive handling, and easily gave up food and treats. While he was being neutered, however, it was discovered that he has a 3/6 heart murmur, and rescue was requested. He does not have any other symptoms of heart trouble, but we will still get him checked by our vet. Many dogs live with heart murmurs their entire lives without any issues and we're anticipating the same for Julius. He obviously was someone's beloved pet before going stray ... he is housebroken, uses a doggy door and loves to snuggle with humans. He is a little shy at first, but is adapting to his new surroundings and his true personality shows more and more each day. Julius is a true sweetheart who deserves a chance ...maybe you can be the one to give that to him!
