Arrival story: Captain’s owner had to go into a nursing home. A neighbor took him in, but then got sick too and could no longer care for Captain. The neighbor’s family contacted Waggin Tails to find him a foster home.

Personality: Captain has a fun, playful personality. He enjoys going for walks, playing fetch or with toys, and cuddling on the couch. He gets along great with other dogs. This sweet guy loves everyone! He is still learning not to jump up to greet people, so a family with older children may be best. He loves car rides and will hop right in if you want to go somewhere! Captain is house trained and crate trained.

Forever home: Captain would do well in many situations – with an individual, couple, or family. He’s looking for a forever home that will give him plenty of exercise and teach him new tricks.
