Barney Siamese Arlington, TX

Barney was rescued from Alvarado Shelter and is a sweetheart who loves to talk to you and follow you around. He has a LOT of personality and will let you know when he wants attention and also when he doesn't (a bit nippy sometimes). He is not keen on dogs but gets along with other cats in moderation. Unfortunately, he has tested positive for FIV but that doesn't mean he can't live a full and happy life. FIV is transmitted through saliva to blood or blood to blood so unless he was to get in a vicious fight with another cat (which is super unlikely due to his temperament) he can also live with other friendly cats just fine and share bowls, etc. He will need to go for regular check ups at the vet and have good quality food. While he is not more likely to get sick his body is not as good at fighting off infection.
