Ava Norfolk Terrier Mix Eau Claire, WI

Hi there, my name is Ava and I was brought to the shelter as a stray. It was pretty scary being lost, but everyone here has been so nice to me. Why, they even discovered right away that my nails were really long and that one of them was embedded in my paw pad. They fixed me right up and it feels so much better. Being a shelter resident is a little overwhelming, so I hope that I can find a new home soon. I am a 1 1/2 year old female Norfolk Terrier mix with a very pretty wheaten colored coat. You may find that I am a little shy at first, so please be patient and allow me some extra time to get to know you. I truly am a very sweet girl, and I love to cuddle. I am not only affectionate, but you will find that I am very loyal and love spending time with my favorite humans. I can't wait to show you my adorable sit pretty. It is a cute thing that I do for treats, and it makes people smile. Then they scratch my ears and thank me for being so gentle. That always makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside, and then the energetic side of my personality starts to show. I love going for walks around the neighborhood and I am good on leash, so we will have a great time on our daily adventures. You will also be happy to know that I have been keeping my kennel clean, so I am most likely housebroken. Norfolk Terrier's were bred to hunt vermin, so a home without pet rodents would be best. I would also like you to know that I will need to be spayed before going home with you. My coat will require regular grooming and please remember to keep my nails trimmed.
