This is Rudy our inspiration....our happy ending story to a small Arabian stallion who through no fault of his own.... found himself severely neglected, emaciated and only standing due to the 2 feet thick bog of manure that he was caged in which literally held him up. He was a sheriffs seizure rescue we brought in last August. He - along with our staff - fought for his life. You can read his full story at our website www.rescuehorses.org. Rudy had never been haltered or touched...except abusively and once he pulled through and began to get healthier..trust and bonding were needed then. Rudy now stands well for the farrier, can be saddled, haltered, wormed/vaccinated, groomed, hoof picked etc. He is still cautious at times...to new experiences or people - but is learning that people do exist that are kind, caring, gentle and loving and is thriving here at AGES! He has recently begun his ground and saddle training and has already shown us that he LOVES to jump!!! At only 13.3hh Rudy would welcome a small adult or teen that seeks to make a name in showing/jumping or eventing circuit. He is not for beginners...and will still require his adopter to devote time and patience to build a bond of trust with....but will makes someone an extraordinary mount no matter the dicipline. He has health, stamina and a zest for life now and we look forward to Rudy finding his perfect match to finish his life's story with!
