Meet Ashes! This sweet pup adores everyone and everything and his fur is softer than anything you've ever imagined! This bundle of love is between 15 - 18 weeks old and will likely be on the bigger side. He is being fostered with a female (49lbs) and a male (68lbs) and they have become best friends!

He has a kind personality...very endearing! LOVES to give kisses and cuddle. Cats don't phase him (although he sometimes gives them baths)! He is a prince with other dogs, walks beautifully on a leash and immediately sits for a treat when he comes inside. No food issues with this guy - he lays down to eat!. Shares toys nicely, LOVES tennis balls, jolly balls and pretty much anything he finds! He is still a puppy and he needs things to chew (antlers are a favorite of his). He is crate trained during the day (his foster momma goes home at lunch to let the dogs out to play and potty). No accidents in his crate and he's working very hard on his potty training in general. Ashes will thrive with a family who is active and has another dog for companionship or where he can play at daycare. He's still young, so proper training will allow him to succeed at being your wonderdog! BEFORE CONSIDERING A PUPPY FOR ADOPTION: Please keep in mind that puppies need attention during the day. They need frequent potty breaks, playtime, socialization and often a mid day meal. Please consider your daytime schedule before applying for a puppy.

SPAY/NEUTER POLICY: Our adoption fee covers the puppies spay or neuter at our vet in Libertyville. If the puppy is adopted prior to the spay or neuter being done you will be required to bring the puppy back to our vet within 30 days for the surgery.

ADOPTION FEE: $350.00 The adoption fee includes all age appropriate vaccinations including rabies, HW test if age appropriate, de-worming, microchip, fecal, spay or neuter, Heartworm and flea and tick preventative.

ADOPTION PROCESS: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application online at www.placingpawsrescue.org.
Once we review the applications, those applicants that are thought to be a good match will be contacted as quickly as possibly. We ask that you please be patient with us as we are all volunteers. Then a telephone interview will take place, references checked and a home visit will be conducted. We will then arrange for you to meet the dog. We require that all family members, including current dogs meet the dog prior to adoption. We put all of the known information in the animals description. If the animal is listed on the website, we are still accepting applications for that animal. We only remove the animal when the final adoption paperwork is signed.
