Arrival story: Waggin' Tails received a plea that this boy needed a safe place and so here he is looking for a forever home. Carson hails from the east side of Detroit.

Approximate age / Weight: 1.5 years old / 70 lbs

Personality: Carson reminds us of a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup! Chocolaty in color with peanut butter highlights. So handsome and sweet! He is basically just a big pup. He can be shy at first, in new environments, but is friendly and loves attention and enjoys being petted. Sometimes he grabs at his leash/harness when you try to put it on him but this is just typical puppy / young dog behavior and he wants to play.

Carson rides nicely in the car and is good at the vets office. He is also crate-trained and house-trained and not much of a barker. He does need work on leash manners.

Forever home: Carson would do best in a home with an active family without small children, as he could knock them over easily. A fenced yard is ideal unless you are willing to put in the time for long walks. Carson would benefit from a training class, as well.

Waggin' Tails Adoption Information: Waggin' Tails Dog Rescue has a standard adoption fee of $225 for adult dogs. Different adoption fees apply for older dogs, small breeds and puppies - $125 for senior dogs, $275 for small breed dogs and $250 for puppies, plus a $50 deposit which is returned upon proof of spay/neuter at six months of age. Our adoption process includes an application, vet reference checks, and a home visit.

Arrangements can be made to meet our rescue dogs outside of Saturday adoption events after an approved application is submitted (the application does not imply an obligation by the applicant or by the rescue group).
