Velcro is a sweet male that was brought to the shelter as a stray. He is very outgoing, affectionate, and would do best in a household with another playful cat friend that would like to play chase and pounce cat games with him. He was raised with other cats of all ages, dogs, and does well with gentle children. He enjoys running through tunnel toys, and is good about being creative when it comes to entertaining himself. As long as he has his tail to chase, or several catnip mice to slide around on the floor and carry around in his mouth he is happy, but even at that, he often times prefers to play in the same room you are in. He is likely to choose a person in the household to be his special human, and will most likely want to sleep with that person. Velcro didn't have a mom when he was little and needed to be bottle fed. Not being a real big fan of powdered kitten milk, he went to eating solids earlier than most kittens. This may be the reason that from time to time he will decide to nurse, purr, and knead on the fabric of his cat bed, pacifying himself until he falls asleep. He also likes to sleep all snuggled up tight with his favorite cat friends. In order to open up extra space at the shelter for other cats, Velcro is currently in a foster home. If you are thinking about adopting two cats, note that the shelter does offer a companion cat crusade - adopt one kitten and the adoption fee for a second is half the regular price, if the second one is adopted within 30 days of the first adoption.
